Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Daylight ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit daylightauto.com (the "Site") or contact us through it. It covers our marketing website and demo inquiries. Data we process on behalf of a customer when delivering the Daylight platform is handled separately, under that customer's written service agreement (see "Customer data" below).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a demo or contact us, we collect the details you submit: your name, work email, dealership or group name, role, number of rooftops, the DMS you use, your area of interest, and any notes you include.
Information collected automatically. When you submit the form, we record limited technical data to keep the Site secure and prevent abuse: your IP address (which we use to derive a country and to rate-limit submissions) and your browser's user-agent string. Our hosting and security provider may set essential cookies or similar technologies needed to serve and protect the Site, including our bot-protection tool. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule and prepare a demo, and provide pricing.
- To communicate with you about your request and, if relevant, about Daylight.
- To protect the Site, prevent spam and abuse, and maintain security.
- To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Site and respond to you, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, database storage for inquiries, and bot protection (Turnstile).
- Resend — delivery of our notification and confirmation emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Customer data
When we deliver the Daylight platform to a customer, we process that customer's dealership data in a warehouse the customer owns and controls. That processing is governed by the written service agreement and any data-processing terms with that customer, not by this website Privacy Policy.
Data retention
We keep inquiry information for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, after which we delete or anonymize it, unless we need to retain it longer to meet a legal or contractual obligation.
Security
We use reputable infrastructure and encrypt data in transit. Access to inquiry data is limited. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, email kristin@daylightauto.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
International users
We operate in the United States, and information you submit may be processed there. By using the Site, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to note them on this page.
